Dung sampling both adult sheep and lambs can help determine if your flock might benefit from a late season worming dose, both in terms of animal health and productivity, but also to reduce pasture burdens.
Fresh dung samples taken from 10-15 animals per group can be analysed at the practice, and one of our farm vet team will call you back within 24hrs to discuss the result and advise on a bespoke plan for your flock.
Let us know of any clinical signs e.g. scour or poor body condition, and of any recent treatments given (a short form is available at reception).
Support for investigation of roundworms in cattle and sheep may be available through the Preparing for Sustainable Farming scheme.
