Support is available again this year for farms looking at making improvements to health and welfare through investigation of roundworms, fluke, sheep scab, calf pneumonia, bull fertility, sheep lameness and “iceberg diseases” in sheep such as OPA, Maedi Visna or Johnes.
Investigations can include dung and/or blood sampling, fertility examinations of bulls or swabs to investigate pneumonia. An action plan must then be drawn up by end of December 2025.
Up to 2 options can be claimed, with £250 available per option. Claims must be submitted by end of Feb 2026.
Speak to one of our farm vets to discuss how this can benefit your flock or herd this year.
